PR: PURE POWER

JULY 2016 -- The DLE Agency has always maintained a grounded focus in strategic public relations and media management. Never has that been more on display, than in the run-up to the 2016 Rio Olympics. Over the last few months, our clients have appeared on NBC, FOX, CBS, ABC, EWTN, as well as USA Today, US Weekly, W Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Interview Magazine, NPR, and others. For athletes, marketing is impossible without visbility and visibility is driven by strategic, high-level media. We are proud of our consistent, cooperative work behind the scenes to ensure that our clients remain out front--whether on stage, on screen, on-line, on-air, or in print.

RIO & WORLD RECORDS

JULY 2016 -- Michelle Konkoly already has a remarkably inspiring story that would put most people to shame. Yet, on July 1st, the Georgetown Alum found a way to expand on her entry in the global history books: she broke two World Records, set an American Record, and punched her ticket to the 2016 Paralympic Games, in Rio! "I'm so excited," said Konkoly. "It's an incredible feeling to break a World Record, but the biggest honor is knowing that I've earned the right to represent my country at the Games! I can't stop smiling!" The Paralympic Games will take place in Rio de Janeiro from September 7-18, 2016.

SIGNING: HURLEY SISTERS

JULY 2016 -- We are excited to announce the signing of stand-out American fencers Kelley and Courtney Hurley. The Texas-based Hurley sisters are 2012 Olympic Bronze Medalists, and have qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics, which will be the third for Kelley and the second for Courtney. "We're so excited to represent our country once again on the Olympic stage," said Kelley. "Winning a medal, seeing your flag, hearing the fans...it's an indescribable feeling of pride." In Rio, the Hurleys will compete in the Individual and Team Epee competition. The 2016 Olympics run from August 5-21, in Rio de Janeiro.

PR: A CAPITAL FOURTH

JULY 2016 -- Once again, DLE had Olympic clients on-stage for the prime-time PBS special "A Capital Fourth." With 200,000 live viewers and 15 million watching on live TV, this is the highest viewed PBS program each year. U.S. Olympians Dagmara Wozniak (fencing) and Casey Eichfeld (slalom canoe) flew in for the star-studded affair. After the production, we attended a VIP reception at the Air & Space museum, where they mingled with Gavin DeGraw (above), host Tom Bergeron, and various members of Congress. The following morning, we had the pair in-studio with FOX and EWTN, as July 5th marked one month to the Opening Ceremonies, at Rio 2016.

OLYMPIC SWIM TRIALS

JUNE 2016 -- We were back in Omaha for the U.S. Olympic Trials: Swimming. This year, we had four irons in the proverbial fire: Olympians Andrew Gemmell (2012) and Kate Ziegler (2012, 2008) in the water; 3-Time U.S. Coach of the Year, Bruce Gemmell, on deck; 4-Time Olympic Medalist Kara Lynn Joyce on-set and in the commentary booth for USA Swimming programming. Despite mixed results, it was a successful five day stint, in Omaha. We're proud of the character and fortitude displayed by our clients; it's easy to be gracious in victory, but you gain the full measure of a man in moments of adversity and defeat. In the end, our legacy is not determined by the races we won, but by the reputation we earned, the lives we touched, and the impact we left.

ANOTHER AMAZING AD47

JUNE 2016 -- On June 10-12, we were back in Laurel, MS with NFL client Akeem Davis to host his 2nd Annual AD47 Football Leadership Academy. In its second year, AD47 has expanded from 53 to 100 kids, all of whom receive free entry to the one-day, football skills camp, which we run in partnership with the NFL Foundation and USA Football. As an agency, DLE secures all corporate sponsorships for the camp, coordinate all media coverage (TV, print, radio, digital), host a VIP reception, and handle all of the logistics surrounding the two-day event. It takes months to plan and assemble AD47, but it's something that makes a positive impact in Akeem's community and DLE is proud to be a difference maker in the lives of young children.
