HALAPIO SIGNS NEW DEAL

JANUARY 2017 -- After the Giants' disappointing Wild Card loss in Green Bay, Jon Halapio signed a two-year Futures Contract with the club. Heading into the off-season, a Futures Contract provides stability for both the player and the club as neither will have to navigate the often choppy waters of the free agency market. The nature of this opportunity was not lost on Halapio.

"This season has been incredible on every level. I've learned so much from these coaches and this organization. Now, to have the chance to extend and continue to learn, and grow, and improve...I am blessed. That's all I can say. I wish OTA's started next week!"

WEST EARNS HONORS

JANUARY 2017 -- 2014 U.S. Olympian Tucker West was nominated for the USOC Athlete of the Month, for December 2016. West shot to the top of the nomination list after his red-hot December on the World Cup circuit, where he picked up two key wins and another podium place in just four weeks.

West won Athlete of the Month once before, following a similarly dominant December performance in 2014. Now inside of 400 days (or roughly one year) to the 2018 Olympics, West is coming into prime form at the right time!  Whomever ultimately wins the award, this was certainly a December to Remember for Tucker West!

HALAPIO TO PLAYOFFS

JANUARY 2017 -- Jon Halapio and the NY Giants are heading to the NFC playoffs, where they will face the Green Bay Packers over the Wild Card weekend. This marks the first playoff appearance for Halapio and the magnitude of the opportunity was not lost on the Tongan lineman.

"I'm so thankful to be part of this team. Sure, I've worked really hard to be here, but I'm also really blessed to be in this position. This has been a year to remember on so many levels."
